Welcome to the kickoff of Sweet Sundays, where I’ll be sharing my favorite sweet treats every Sunday in December! This week, we’re keeping it simple yet classic with Peanut Butter Cookies—soft, chewy, and oh-so-delicious.
Ingredients
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
Directions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather all ingredients to get started.
- Mix the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and the egg. Use an electric mixer to blend until smooth and creamy.
- Form the Cookies: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Add the Criss-Cross: Using a fork, gently press each dough ball flat, creating a criss-cross pattern.
- Bake: Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are firm. (Let them cool briefly on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.)
- Enjoy: Share and savor your homemade cookies with family and friends!
